The International Olympic Committee will launch the Olympic Channel on August 21st, after the Rio Olympics end. The IOC President Thomas Bach said the launch of the channel is the start of an exciting new journey to connect the worldwide audience with the Olympic Movement all year round. Fans will be able to follow sports, athletes and the stories behind the Olympic Games.
According a statement by IOC, the channel will be available online, worldwide via an app for Android and iOS devices, as well as on YouTube and social media - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The Olympic Channel will first be offered in English with an option of subtitles in nine different languages.
